The Rides:
Without being alarmists, the Hares want all to be aware that Saturday's ride will be quite tough and remote. Please bring plenty of water, bottles and camelbaks as there will be NO place to buy water on the way. We are driving to the water stop. There will be a short cut after the water stop. Sunday's ride will be a lovely ride in fields and woods and, therefore, no stores around to buy water.

Bike Maintenance:
The Bangkok bike shop LPR has a team of mechanics at most rides ready to fix last minute problems. They don't quote a price for their work, but please give a generous donation if you use their services. They can also take your sick bike away after the ride, restore it to full health and deliver it to your home in Bangkok. For more major repairs they can be contacted at lpr_service@windowslive.com or call 08 1815 7948.Transport to the ride:
For those without their own transport (or bike) SpiceRoads usually arrange a van (minibus) to take bikes and riders to the ride for a very reasonable fee. They also rent bikes out, but you will have to get your own helmet, pump and spare tube. Contact them at enquiries@spiceroads.com or call 0 2712 5305. Warning - Sometimes SpiceRoads cancel the van at the last minute if there are insufficient customers.Misdirections:
It takes between 2.5 to 3 hours to reach the resort, please plan accordingly as ride-off is at 1 pm.Route 1:
From Bangkok take elevated highway direction Chonburi.
Exit elevated highway at Bang Wua/Chonburi (Motorway). After toll turn immediately left following signs for Chonburi (Motorway).
After about 5 km on the Motorway turn left on 314 direction Chachoengsao.
Alternatively from Bangkok you can follow Rama 9 Road to the Chonburi Motorway and turn left on 314 direction Chachoengsao.
Once on 314, after approx. 12 km, in Chachoengsao, turn right direction Phanom Sarakham and, according to the sign Hwy 314 (though you are actually turning onto Hwy 304, and all we have to say to that is - TIT).
Set your odometer here and drive straight on the 304 - don't turn left or right - for approx. 116 km.
You'll drive through Kabinburi following signs to Nakhon Ratchasima. Keep driving straight through the Ban Nok Udom/Nadee intersection.
At about 115.5 km there will be a rise in the road and you'll see a big hill in front of you off in the distance, then an elevated footpath, slow down, you are going to turn left on a red dirt road just beyond a small clinic building with a red roof. Look for BHHB Sign!
Follow dirt road for about 500m and enter Suan Nong Nooch Resort (all signs are in Thai only!). You made it!Route 2:
Take the Rangsit-Ongkarak road (305) through the Nakhon Nayok's downtown.
Take the right turn to the 33 and stay on it until you reach Kabinburi intersection. Then, turn left to highway 304 and follow the directions above. The best map available is here, but is for the resort across the highway. The ride-off is from Suan Nong Nooch Resort!
WARNING: There seems to be an unofficial toll on Hwy 304, and having a roof rack with bicycles on it makes you an obvious target to the vigilant police. We saw two checkpoints on our last recce and last year many people got pulled over and had to give a donation to the local police. Have your sob story or 100-200 baht donation ready!
