Bike Maintenance:
The Bangkok bike shop LPR has a team of mechanics at most rides ready to fix last minute problems. They don't quote a price for their work, but please give a generous donation if you use their services. They can also take your sick bike away after the ride, restore it to full health and deliver it to your home in Bangkok. For more major repairs they can be contacted at lpr_service@windowslive.com or call 08 1815 7948.Bike rental:
SEA HILL MOUNTAIN BIKING can rent you a bike and also supply a helmet, but you will have to get your own pump and spare tube. Contact them at info@seahillmtb.com or call 08 5951 1813.
Otherwise both LPR and SpiceRoads rent out bikes.Transport to the ride:
For those without their own transport (or bike) SpiceRoads usually arrange a van (minibus) to take bikes and riders to the ride for a very reasonable fee. They also rent bikes out, but you will have to get your own helmet, pump and spare tube. Contact them at enquiries@spiceroads.com or call 0 2712 5305. Warning - Sometimes SpiceRoads cancel the van at the last minute if there are insufficient customers.Misdirections:
Depart Bangkok by your favorite route eventually ending up on highway 4, aka “Phet Kasem Road” heading south. Go through Hua Hin and over the bridge over the railroad tracks at the south end of town.
Continue along highway 4 past Hua Hin Soi 156, (on your right side, the last Soi in Hua Hin district).
At km marker 245, pay attention!! About 50m to 100m before km marker 246 turn left onto highway 1019. This turn is marked with many, many signs, so many in fact that you need to look carefully for the BHHB sign there. More importantly look for the I-Resort Cliff View sign.
The resort has marked the way there very well, so you can follow these signs all the way there.
Go about 200m, cross over the train tracks, and then take the left hand turn right after the train tracks.
Continue on this road driving through a small pass where there is a Chinese style temple on your right and then down a slight incline.
You will see a very tall and ugly building from the top of the pass, this is not our resort!
After about 2.5km you will come to the I-Resort Cliff View on your left hand side.Total driving time should be about 3 to 3.5 hours (determined from the Victory Monument area of BKK) and depending on your driving style.
